So much has happened in taking decisions for the 3rd Uganda Conference on Cancer and Palliative Care since our last communications. The biggest news is that the conference organizing committee officially decided to hold the 3rd Uganda Conference on Cancer and Palliative care virtually and made a few changes in the hours the conference will run. Our virtual conference will be held September 23rd – 24th 2021 and will have some sessions broadcast live on UBC TV.
More than 50 abstracts were submitted for this year’s conference. These abstracts have been reviewed by the conference scientific committee which still met to put together this year’s provisional program and it looks amazing. The program ranges from Keynote addresses, workshops to oral and poster presentations.
Some of the conference sessions will be a televised panel discussion involving eminent persons. As per the conference program, the panel discussion will be held on the first day of the conference on Thursday 23rd September 2021 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. The panel discussion will center on the conference theme, “Cancer and Palliative Care in COVID-19 and other challenging situations.”
